EMS Garage Podcast

file1-ems-garage

I have finally made my debut on EMS Garage, an American Podcast which brings together experts and clinicians from EMS across the United States, Canada and now the UK, for a weekly discussion on various topics concerning the provision of Emergency Care.

For me, this meant getting up at 3am, and meeting up with the guys via the wonders of Skype, to have a very interesting debate on the way that the economic recession is hitting emergency services both in the US and over here, and also the hot topic of socialised healthcare versus privatised healthcare.

If you have any interest in emergency care, and lets face it, if your reading this, you obviously have, head over to ems garage to either listen to the stream on line or download the podcast to listen on your MP3 player. Alternatively, you can download it directly from the podcast section on iTunes by searching for EMS garage.

Have a listen if you have time and let me know what you think.

There is also a snippet of information towards the end about the BIG project I have been working on for the last few months and that looks like is now a reality for the end of the year. To say I am excited is an understatement, but I will share all the details with you soon.

Happy listening!!

  1. Just heard your big news on the podcast!!!

I won’t say it here, will let you do that much!

Sounds really exciting, looking forward to it! 😀

  2. “Happy listening”…yes, I’m listening…now what?

you sound very “Scottish” to my American ears. Now it sounds that way when I read your posts. Funny how that works.

  3. Happy> You’ll have to work on your accent identification. Mark is from the North East of England, colloquially called a ‘Geordie’. Not too far from the Scottish border but definitely on the southern side.
Its a bit like when I went to a job involving a tourist coach and an Aussie couple had to translate for an American I was talking too. Two countries seperated by a common language indeed. Take care, Pete.

  4. Great Podcast think i will have to listen to some others.
brilliant insight to the different helath cares i had some idea about americas but learning about canadas was intresting to.
You dont sound to geordie or scottish but as a geordie i might not hear a difference.
